Temple etiquette.

Many people visit temples when in South East Asia.

Here's a little lists of do's and dont's.
I see too many westerners disregarding any etiquette.

1- do not take photos of monks.
They are not an attraction they are living. Working. Have some respect.
2- do not take obvious photos on a temple. It is a place of worship not a museum.
3- wear a tshirt and long shorts or sarong.
Showing too much skin is disrespectful.
4-talk quietly or not at all.
Do you really need to have a conversation inside the temple.
5- sit down watch what is going on.
Take it all in, mellow in the calm atmosphere.
6- do you really have to ask so many questions. We have google for that. Shut up and enjoy it.
7- yes go see the monk who is blessing people. He is there for you to be blessed but have lots of respect. Bow say Thankyou.
8-never point your feet at anything sit crossed legs or on top of legs.
Don't be so rude and ignorant.
9-never touch anyone. Not even an excuse me can you move please. No do not touch.
It's rude. Stay out of people's zones.
10- don't just walk around snapping photos and not donate. Donations are what keeps countries like this available to us westerners. They had to open the temple to tourists purely to sustain it via donations. You visit you donate. Simple etiquette.
