Dyeing fabric naturally with indigo.

Indigo is a plant grown mainly in the tropics.

When stewed with a pinch or two of salt for hours it develops into a lovely blue tinted broth.

The broth can stay for up to one year.

You dip the fabric for about three minutes and rinse.

Let dry then repeat again.

The magic is the oxidisation.

When the dyed fabric is left out in the air it darkens.

So taking on a life of its own.

After approximately ten dips and dries you'll have a magically dark intense blue.
