house of slate, was born in april. started as a selling hub for my www.nathanslate.co.uk pieces, i have a ready to wear range then an actual fashion design range, i sold quite well just via my website, but then discovered asos boutiques on market place, applied was accepted and then the ball roleld from there.
its been up and down, its hard to juggle uni work, part time work, blogging, social life and running an online store, not only making the clothes but sourcing the goods and then photo shooting the garments myself, finding models and getting it all together.
i have launched two collections, the first promo collection, items that where already up for sale on www.nathanslate.co.uk, then i added some colour, with the summer collection.
i now am about to venture into my third collection, autumn. i want to bring some sweatshirts into it, some tshirts aswell as the already existing vest tops. and some longer skirts and harems.
alot of the pieces are heavily inspired by clothes i would like to wear.
i have an androgynous perception of fashion and beauty, not in the cross-dressing guy in a dress type of way, but in the kind of gender equality blurred lines kind of way.
wear what you want, be what you want, feel what you feel.
so i am going to launch some great new pieces, with some more ethically sourced pieces, recycling old fabrics sourced through charities and transforming other one off pieces into a great staple piece to your wardrobe.
