alternative flower arrangements

Recently I went to Amsterdam for my partners birthday. We had a Great Time and as a cultural hive I was inspired when I came back. Main inspiration being flower arrangements. 

In Amsterdam I saw shrubbery and foliage in all flower arrangements. It was different because they was the main focus instead of the flowers. In tall glass vases they stood in puddles of water. 

I have created my own version using tulips. Fill the vase all the way with water and wedge in the tulips. You can see the stems through the vase and it gives for a great statement piece.
